We are honored to officially announce that BSSC (Business Startup Support Centre) and IBP (Investment and Business Partners) are officially partnering with UNDP Vietnam in the Incubation & Acceleration Program under the Plastics Innovation Programme. This partnership marks a significant milestone in Viet Nam’s journey toward sustainable development, representing one of the most ambitious innovation efforts ever undertaken to tackle plastic pollution in the country.
About the UNDP Plastics Innovation Programme, Vision & Mission:
Supported by the UN Peace and Development Fund and co-funded by the Coca-Cola Foundation, the UNDP Plastics Innovation Programme is designed to identify and scale up bold, practical, and high-impact solutions that address plastic waste. The programme embraces a comprehensive approach centered on six key innovation pillars:
▪️ Material Innovation
▪️ Design Innovation
▪️ Business Model Innovation
▪️ Technological Innovation
▪️ Innovation in Governance Systems
▪️ Innovative Financing Instruments
With financial grants of up to USD 30,000, alongside technical mentorship, piloting opportunities, and access to a broad network of stakeholders, the programme aims to catalyze systemic change and support Viet Nam’s transition to a circular economy.
About the Incubation & Acceleration Program
In collaboration with UNDP Viet Nam, BSSC and IBP will deliver a tailored support program to 25 high-potential innovation teams, consisting of two core phases:
Incubation Phase (2 months)
Focused on capacity building, market validation, and strategic mentoring.
Acceleration Phase (9 months)
The 12 most outstanding teams (6 winners and 6 runner-ups) will receive:
▪️ Over 288 hours of coaching and 144 hours of mentoring
▪️ Specialized bootcamps in key regions
▪️ A high-level Demo Day with 200+ stakeholders, including investors, corporates, and policy leaders
▪️ Access to piloting opportunities and investment networks
▪️ Integration with InnoEx, Viet Nam’s premier international innovation exhibition
