In the past two decades, over 50% of companies in the Fortune 500 list, which comprises the world’s largest companies, have either gone bankrupt or been acquired. The primary reason for this repercussion is the rapid pace of market changes that has left slow-adapting companies “out of the game.” Furthermore, this rate of turnover has accelerated significantly in recent years.
This trend is not limited to developed markets but also holds true for emerging markets like Vietnam. The risk of being “eliminated from the game” or losing competitive advantage for leading enterprises remains high. Moreover, against the backdrop of general economic difficulties and recession, it is undoubtedly a period of “mounting challenges” for the business community.
In light of these circumstances, IBP has initiated a community project called the Innovation Workshop Series (IWS) specifically designed for Vietnamese businesses. Its purpose is to share practical experiences with enterprises through success stories, new ways of thinking, innovation practices, and strategies for survival from large corporations, domestic and international experts. Centered around the keyword “OPTIMIZE,” IBP will focus on exploring three aspects: technology, finance, and operations throughout the year 2023. The program is initiated and implemented by the Investment and Business Promotion Company (IBP), in collaboration with the Young Business Association of Ho Chi Minh City (YBA) and the Business Startup Support Center (BSSC).
